Postponements

  • If your new date is unavailable, it will be treated as a cancellation.

Our Right to Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel an order due to illness, injury, family emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control, or threatening, abusive, or obstructive behaviour from the client.

If we cancel, a full or partial refund may be issued depending on the work completed. In cases of client misconduct or breach of contract, we reserve the right to withhold the booking fee and invoice for completed work (e.g. consultations, design, materials purchased).

We do not accept wedding cake bookings from third parties (e.g. friends or family). We require direct contact with the couple to ensure clear communication.

4.

Design Policy

  • Please carefully check your order confirmation. All changes must be submitted in writing no later than 3 weeks before the event.
  • If changes affect the cost or require rework, your invoice will be updated accordingly.
  • Designs inspired by photos will be interpreted in our own style and are not exact replicas.
  • We are not liable for melted chocolate decorations after the cake leaves our possession.
5.

Allergies & Dietary Requirements

We can offer vegan cakes and gluten, egg, or nut-free options upon request. However, as our kitchen handles all major allergens, we cannot guarantee zero traces.

Client Responsibilities

  • Informing guests of allergy risks.
  • Removing non-edible decorations (e.g. dowels, wires, ribbons) before serving.
  • Ensuring that the event representative and/or venue kitchen staff receive the ingredients and allergen list we provide, and that they take responsibility for informing guests of any allergens present.
6.

Delivery, Collection & Setup

Delivery

  • Delivery is charged based on mileage and time.
  • We are not liable for delays due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, maximum refund is limited to the delivery fee.

Collection

We prefer to personally deliver tiered cakes to ensure safe transportation and proper setup at your venue. However, if you choose to collect a tiered cake, you do so at your own risk. A disclaimer will be issued stating that My Heavenly Cakes' responsibility ends at the point of collection. We will not be held liable for any damage that occurs after the cake leaves our premises. We recommend checking your event insurance for coverage.

Setup

  • Clients must ensure the table, stand, linen, and knife are ready on arrival.
  • Delays may incur a fee of £30 per hour.
7.

Storage & Consumption

  • Storage and allergen guidance is provided with every order.
  • Frosted cakes should be stored in the fridge and removed at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Sugar paste cakes should not be refrigerated — this causes condensation and accelerates staling.
  • Consume within 3 days of delivery for the best taste and freshness.
  • Leftovers should be wrapped and frozen for longer shelf life.
8.

Complaints & Refunds

  • Complaints must be raised upon delivery or collection, allowing us the opportunity to address the issue.
  • Refunds will not be granted for personal taste preferences or change of mind.
  • If a refund is requested, evidence (including uneaten cake) must be provided.
  • In cases of late delivery, compensation is limited to the delivery fee only.

Thank you for choosing My Heavenly Cakes — where every cake is crafted with care, creativity, and your special occasion in mind.
